Shifting Shadows

Shifting Shadows gathers short fiction from the world of Mercy Thompson, the shapeshifter heroine of Patricia Briggs's urban fantasy novels. Mercy's circle of allies stretches from powerful figures to creatures who live in the dark corners of the world. This collection lets readers spend time with both newcomers and familiar faces, in human form and otherwise. Four of the stories are new: "Silver," "Roses in Winter," "Redemption" and "Hollow." They sit alongside six earlier pieces that readers of the series have come to love: "Fairy Gifts," "Gray," "Seeing Eye," "Alpha and Omega," "The Star of David" and "In Red, with Pearls." The book suits fans who want more time in this world between novels, and it gives newer readers a sampling of the characters and the supernatural community around Mercy.
