Shoes

This is the story of Mikey, a middle-schooler, who up until his last year at Cobbler Middle School Academy (CMSA), has performed extraordinarily well, academically. Considered a geek along with his two best friends, Gabe and Elliot, he decides to leave a mark before graduating from CMSA. How? By reinventing himself and facing his fears with tested and proven self-improvement principles. What makes this story, very loosely based on the author's and his son's life, is that all of the characters in the story are shoes! The vibrant illustrations depict the characters in a theme that supports shoes: e.g., shoe box looking homes, shoe racks for bleachers, and even the name of the school. This is a children's book with a clear message that "for things to change, you've got to change!" Principles taken from some of the greatest motivational messages of our time. It will hopefully serve as an educational tool - at the very least, inspire folks, at whatever age, to become more!
