Sick Bargain

Remiel Sauder has been pushed to his limit by a boy who has tormented him for years. Out of options, he leads his tormentor to Vile House, hoping to frighten him off and improve his own chances of surviving. Everyone in town knows the place, but Remiel is about to find out how deeply its secrets and mysteries are tied to the town's history. No one enters Vile House without making a bargain, and Remiel is about to put his life in the hands of the devil he has stirred up: the Vile Boy in the purple mask.

Krypt never meant to accept a bargain and has never taken one before. The moment Remiel steps into the hall, though, he claims him. Drawn to Remiel's fear, Krypt agrees to the terms and takes the local boy as his own. He enjoys how this tainted young man brings his deepest monsters to life and rattles their chains.

What Krypt doesn't realize is that the curse haunting Remiel will start haunting him too, binding their lives together in a way neither expected. Remiel thrives on fear, and Krypt delights in creating it. Together they find that sickness may be where their health begins.
