Simple Secret

Joshua Graves contends that Jesus approached love differently from many of the religious figures who have shaped human history. In Jesus' view, love is meant for everyone: the children in our lives, our partners and friends, strangers, the vulnerable and the poor, those who oppose us, and the earth itself.

On this account, the meaning of existence is less obscure than people often assume. The reason we exist, according to Jesus, is to love and to be loved. At the end of a life, its worth is weighed by the love we extended to each person we crossed paths with, so what seems like a hidden truth is actually open to anyone willing to see it.
