Sinners Prayer

This is the fourth book in the Windrush Noir series. JT Ellington has taken a job as a caretaker at a school, hoping a new decade will leave his past behind. Guilt still follows him, though, and the ghosts that haunt his dreams have begun to seep into his waking hours. Then Superintendent Fletcher, a figure from his old life, turns up with a proposition JT has little real choice but to accept. It drags him into an underworld of vice, brutality and illicit desire.

At the same time, Nikhil Suresh vanishes only hours before his wedding. His family is frantic, and whispers about what happened are spreading. JT, hoping to buy his way toward some kind of redemption, is carrying money earned through violence while a vicious enemy is determined to ruin him. To stay alive, he has to be as ruthless as the people trying to bring him down.
