Six Sweets Under

Becca Ransom spent seven years living her dream as an actress in Hollywood before returning to her hometown of Larch Haven, Vermont. The town is known as the Venice of North America, with canals in place of roads, gondolas in place of cars, and cottages that look as if they came from a fairy tale. Becca is now pursuing a new passion as a chocolatier at True Confections, the chocolate shop run by her grandparents, Lolly and Pops.

While she tests new flavors and catches up with old friends, the town prepares for the annual Gondola Races, which are popular with residents and tourists alike. One person is not happy about it. Local curmudgeon Archie Smith wants to keep tourists out of Larch Haven, and he sets out to wreck this year's event by causing trouble for the organizers, Becca's grandfather among them.

After a heated argument with Pops, Archie is found floating face-down in the canal, and Pops becomes one of the top suspects. Becca is determined to clear her grandfather's name, but as the investigation heats up, she may be heading for a sticky end of her own.
