Sky Watcher #5

Jada Jones returns in the fifth book of this series, which has built a devoted following among readers who love science, technology, engineering and math. Fans of Ivy and Bean and Katie Woo are likely to enjoy meeting her.

For a school project, Jada picks Dr. Mae Jemison, a former NASA astronaut and the first Black woman to travel to outer space, as her subject. She plans to dress up as her idol and speak as Jemison during the presentation for her teacher, parents and friends.

As Jada digs into her research, she is struck by how remarkable her role model's achievements are, and she starts to worry that she has made a mistake. How can she play someone who seems so composed when she feels like she is coming apart?
