Sleep Tight

Twisted Tree, a rural town, once lived in fear of Father Silence, a killer who posed as a priest and targeted the people least able to protect themselves. When police finally located his "House of Horrors," they found nineteen bodies and a single survivor, a boy who was later committed to a hospital for the criminally insane.

Almost twenty years on, Father Silence is executed. By the following morning, the detective who originally arrested him has been found dead, and a different serial killer has claimed the murder, calling himself the Outcast.

The dead detective's daughter, Tess Claibourne, is a detective too. Childhood trauma still haunts her, and both her father's death and the return of Father Silence's legacy horrify her.

When the Outcast kidnaps Tess's daughter, she has no leads and must face her worst fears and long-buried memories. Her only option is to go back to Twisted Tree and visit the boy who survived, hoping to uncover what secrets lie tangled in his broken mind.
