So Long

FBI Special Agent Faith Bold is recovering in hospital after a brutal encounter with a serial killer, and the experience has left her convinced she can never return to fieldwork. She has made up her mind to leave the Bureau for good. That plan changes when Turk, a German Shepherd working as a K9, enters her life. He is damaged too: once a dog serving with the Marine Corps, he was wounded in combat.

Turk keeps his own troubles hidden and devotes himself to helping Faith find her footing again. The two are slow to trust each other, but once they do, they become deeply bonded. Each is determined to confront the darkness that haunts them, and both are willing to risk their own lives to protect the other.

When a new serial killer begins leaving bodies at the bottoms of isolated wells, Faith and Turk take up the hunt. Their aim is to find the killer and reach the next intended victim before it is too late.

The novel is part of the Faith Bold series. The pace is fast throughout, and the story is full of action, suspense, twists and revelations.
