Soap opera

Expect a story packed with sexual intrigue, public scandal, a killing, and treachery among colleagues. Its central figure is a wholesome, plainspoken American woman who lands a job on a daytime serial. She soon discovers that the real drama is not on the screen but behind the scenes, where the cast's private lives are far messier than anything the scripts invent.
