Some Days

Wyatt sees his mother, Rosie, as a hero, even though she has multiple sclerosis and some days her body simply won't cooperate. The two share daily outings together, and Wyatt admires her no matter how she is feeling.

On the days when Rosie runs low on energy, the pair put together a snug hideout in the living room meant only for the two of them. Other times, Rosie's walking stick turns into a magic wand for casting spells over Wyatt's toys, or the family heads into town for a big event called a funraiser.

The story gives young children a gentle first look at life alongside a family member who has a long-term illness. Some days move quickly and others move slowly, but each one brings plenty of affection, fun, and ice cream.
