Sonata Form

Dragons in Old Forge are small, scorching creatures that produce more smoke than menace, and Milo Priddy has a rare gift for handling them. Then talk of coming war spreads, and the dragons begin to vanish. Milo is dragonkin himself, and he understands what he has to do. The choice is a painful one, and he cannot bring himself to tell Ellis, the man he loves.

Ellis leads the neighbouring realm of Wellech and faces hard decisions of his own. His abilities are essential to keeping his homeland safe. The future Milo and Ellis once dreamed of sharing grows more fragile as danger gathers beyond the borders and also takes root among their own people. Suspicion of those who wield magic is spreading, threatening the dragons and everyone bound to them. This is a standalone novel.
