Souffle

On a sultry night in Mumbai, business tycoon Mihir Kothari takes one bite of a soufflé and falls dead. The CCTV footage points straight at celebrity chef Rajiv Mehra, and the case against him looks airtight. He is sentenced to hang. On the day of his execution, a catastrophic accident gives him a way out. Following an inner calling, the chef slips away to start a different life, though the past he believed he had left behind keeps catching up with him. Heartbroken over a love he turned away from, he decides to go back and hunt for the person who really killed Kothari, hoping to clear his name. He does not know that the real killer has already picked the next victim, and it is the chef himself. Anand Ranganathan's novel is a layered thriller that also looks at love, life and the passions that push people to do the unexpected and the seemingly impossible.
