About this book
Soul Within is the autobiography of Diane Wright, a reflexologist and holistic therapist who has worked for many years creating bespoke prescriptions for her clients. She grew up in Northumberland, UK, and her working life has been wide-ranging. She has helped people with disabilities, booked flights and holidays, and served as a community police officer.
When health problems upended her plans, she took to the road and drove lorries across Europe. Later she was diagnosed with Lupus, an autoimmune disease, and the diagnosis led her to reflexology. After a kidney transplant, her healing skills took her around the world.
The book is about more than the high points. It covers taking risks, chasing dreams and getting the most out of life, and it comes back to self-discovery, resilience and the strength of women. Its message is that life is too short for rehearsals and that none of us comes with an expiry date. When you feel stuck, it suggests taking a breath, looking around and remembering that someone else is facing a tougher battle.
