Spring Equinox

Few readers outside certain circles know much about the spring equinox, yet the day has shaped spring festivities across much of the world. Written for young readers, this book traces the ancient history of marking the return of spring, and it describes how people celebrate the season today.

The book also shows how the celebration was adapted as it spread into different cultures, so readers can see how one astronomical moment became part of many traditions. The text is kept simple, with colorful photographs and QR codes throughout.

It is published under the DiscoverRoo imprint of Pop!, a division of ABDO, and is aligned to Common Core standards and correlated to state standards.
