Stand-In

Drew Montgomery coaches the quarterbacks for the Seattle football team, and he has no interest in his new boss. London Ambrose, a pampered heiress, has just become the team's co-owner even though she knows next to nothing about football. Drew would rather be left alone to do his work, so her endless questions, her opinions on jerseys and branding, and her habit of hovering over every decision grate on him fast.

When an old flame turns up and starts harassing London, Drew steps in. Protecting women is a point of pride in the Montgomery family, and he won't stand by. The rescue leads to a fake relationship in which he plays her boyfriend in public. The more time he spends with her, the more he learns about the woman beneath the surface, and as the line between pretend and real starts to blur, his dislike of her gives way to something much stronger.

This is the newest novel in Kristen Proby's Single in Seattle series, written by a New York Times bestselling author and centered on Drew. With the most important game of his career approaching, Drew must decide whether to open his heart to London or let her walk out of his life for good.
