Starstruck

Sapna Shah has spent years daydreaming about Bollywood: lovers dancing hand in hand in far-off locations, and herself on the red carpet. When a magazine assignment takes her from New York to Mumbai, the daydream turns into real life, and she ends up much closer than expected to Gautam Gupta, the industry's most sought-after producer.

The weeks that follow are a crash course in film-world glamour and upkeep. She hunts for a fallen eyelash in actress Zeina Khan's green eyes, hides the far-from-subtle evidence of leading man Karan Kumar's many affairs, and shields megastar Aradhna Roy from anything that might upset her.

Then a co-worker dies in mysterious circumstances, and Sapna starts looking past the fairytale surface of the film business. What she finds in Mumbai's notorious underworld teaches her that there is a lot more to the movies than song and dance.
