States Encyclopedia

Each state of the United States receives its own entry here, illustrated with a map and paired with text on its landscape, weather patterns, and mineral, plant, and other natural resources. Young readers also learn about activities that make each state worth visiting.

The volume closes with a glossary, a list of further resources, and an index. Its content is written to match Common Core Standards and to correspond with individual state curriculum requirements. It is issued under the Encyclopedias imprint of Abdo Reference, a division of ABDO.
