Struggling with Development

This ethnographic study examines how international development, hunger, and gender intersect in the Philippines, against a backdrop of political violence. Its central argument concerns gender-focused development programs, which aim in part to ease hunger among women and children. The source text breaks off before its account of those programs is complete.
