Summer Fires

Giulia Sagramola's first full-length graphic novel follows sisters Rachel and Sylvia as they grow up in an ordinary Italian town. Wildfires burn across the hills around them, a visual echo of the difficult decisions they face as teenagers. Each choice they make stirs up unsettled feelings and longings that they struggle to make sense of.

The book captures the confusion and emotional upheaval that adolescence often brings. Its meticulous illustrations and calm, restrained tone give these experiences a quiet, contemplative feel.

This is the first time the book has been published in English.
