Summer Hours

Summer Hours is a novel set during a hot summer in Edinburgh. Roisin's life has stalled. She cancels plans, skips work, and spends her days drinking lukewarm wine in the bathtub with her best friend, Eve.

Then their wealthy mutual friend Claire offers Roisin a large sum of money for what she calls 'freelance work'. Roisin takes it as a sign that her luck is turning, but the offer is not what it seems, and she soon finds herself trapped.

Roisin is caught between her intense infatuation with Eve and her secret arrangement with Claire. She has to move carefully to avoid losing the people and things that matter most to her. The book is a story of friendship and desire, told with humor.
