Sunrise

Leigh Ann Warren left a demanding career as a police officer in a big city and heads home to Sunrise, North Carolina, hoping for a break. She is still haunted by an incident that almost cost her partner, Duck, his life. The town she remembers from childhood has shifted in her absence.

A proposal to build commercial projects on land that many residents regard as sacred has split the tight-knit community apart. Leigh Ann intends to stay out of the dispute, but a decades-old murder has resurfaced, pulling her into an atmosphere of fear and the buried secrets of a small town.

Meanwhile, a killer who has been hiding in Sunrise's shadows is preparing to strike again, and this time the danger hits much closer to home.
