Sustained honor

An attempt is made in this story to cover the whole period of the War of 1812 and the causes leading up to it, treating it from the standpoint of an individual of the time. John R. Musick viewed the historical novel as a way of teaching the history of the country while maintaining the reader's interest with a storyline. The book includes a Historical Index (find the person and event you want to know about) and a Chronology.
