Telempath

Isham Stone is ranked as the second-best assassin alive, and he travels into a ruined city to hunt Wendall Morgan Carlson, the deadliest killer ever known. Carlson is shielded by ghosts, beings from an ancient civilization that coexisted with humans on Earth for millions of years. Those ghosts have now turned against the human race, and the cause of their hostility is the very man Isham has come to kill.
