The Acryptus Tree

"Die for something, or live for nothing" Things couldn't be better for Adelaide Stokes. Living in the realm of Sanctumsea, she spends her time pondering the meaning of life and writing away into her journal of hopeful ideas and inspiring adventures. Much like her idol, the mysterious writer Jonah Longstreet, she hopes to achieve greatness on the page and in the hearts of all who read her work. It isn't until one, fateful day, that her life is forever altered. By the unjust decree of a faraway dictator, she and countless others are convicted of treason and sentenced to immediate execution. Anyone who tries to help is punished and all useful information on the matter of her incarceration is hidden from sight. Forced on the run, Adelaide has no choice but to band together with a group of assorted characters, some more trustworthy than others. Together, they must stay ahead of the murderous, eerie soldiers hunting them down, all the while investigating the curious circumstances surrounding their doomed fate.
