The Aftermath

Once the fighting ends, two telepathic sisters, both striking to look at, pull a young teenage girl out of the hands of a feared gang. The town they knew lies in wreckage, and before long the pair are guiding a group that keeps swelling with more teenagers, younger children, and the household pets that have attached themselves to them.

Looking for protection and a roof, the sisters lead their companions to the farm owned by their aunt and uncle, a few miles beyond the town limits. Everyone settles into the farmhouse, but supplies dwindle and petty arguments flare up, so the twins must work constantly to keep the peace among them.

Soon, visitors begin turning up at the farm, and not all of them mean well. The sisters must find a way to shield their people, keep them alive, and stock enough food for a community that never stops growing. They also face a harder question: whether they can truly 'save' the survivors of the war.
