The Beirut Protocol

A landmark peace treaty between Israel and Saudi Arabia is almost finished, and the secretary of state is about to travel to the region to finalize it. Special Agent Marcus Ryker leads an advance team along the Israel-Lebanon border to prepare for her arrival.

Hezbollah forces ambush Ryker and his team, and a nightmare begins. The White House cannot afford a new Middle East war that might wreck the treaty and set the region on fire. American and Israeli forces mobilize to find the hostages and bring them home, but Ryker knows time is running out. Once Hezbollah learns whom it has captured, no ransom will save them. The captives will be moved to Beirut and then to Tehran, to be executed on live television.

This is the fourth book in Joel C. Rosenberg's Marcus Ryker series. Captured, brutalized and taken deep behind enemy lines, Ryker faces the most dangerous situation of his career. He must decide whether to wait for rescue or try to escape, and how, especially if his wounded colleagues cannot run. The book shows the CIA's most valuable operative in a way readers have not seen before.
