The bone thief

The Bone Thief is the second and final book in Breeana Shields's Bone Charmer duology, a fantasy thriller that deals with grief and the price of revenge.

Saskia goes back to Ivory Hall to continue her training in bone magic. She is determined to stop Latham from gaining the power of all three Sights: past, present and future. The fortress is dangerous, though. The apprentices are going through a series of trials, and the tasks seem designed to torment Saskia in particular, which is just what Latham wants. As her suspicions grow, so does her hunger for revenge, until it threatens to consume her.

Saskia works with the friends she can trust and with the boy she loved in another lifetime. Together they follow clues from Latham's past to work out his next move. The search takes them across Kastelia to a workshop filled with a vast collection of horrors, among them the bones Latham stole from Gran. They also learn that it is not only the future at risk, but the past as well.
