The Call

Meet the Trellis family: They're a little bit psychic, a little bit empathic, and completely oblivious to their special gifts. Matilda's not your typical damsel in distress. Bold, decisive, and unapologetically disabled, she is a self-employed strategic consultant in the liquor industry. Her reputation for success has landed her a sales opportunity to make a new brand of beer. Tall, dark, and handsome, Jake Trellis is ready to play the role of a foul-mouthed Prince Charming. When Matilda shows up in his office doorway, late for a sales meeting, dripping wet, partially frozen, and babbling about a mishap, Jake is certain lady-tears are incoming. He was not anticipating getting snarked at and shellacked at 8-ball. Between Matilda's outrageous BFFs and Jake's hilarious extensive family, this Midwest-based romantic comedy offers inspiration, laughter, and a sneaky bit of psychic, empathic magic. Jake and Matty's journey to love - screeching shrews, slobbering dogs, gifted dildos, unfortunate naughty public encounters, and family antics included - is the start of something bigger. The Call is the first book in the addictive Building the Circle series. If you like ridiculously funny paranormal romances stuffed with engaging characters, you'll love this captivating new series.
