The Cloudfarers

Kip has landed at Paramount Academy, a strict, military-style school that feels more like a jail than a place to learn. He is still adjusting to the rules and the gloom when he falls in with a group of friends who are keeping something extraordinary from the rest of the school.

They are Cloudfarers, a lost tribe from another planet, cast out of the sky long ago and left to live on Earth. They want to go home, and they need Kip's help to do it. The trouble is that Principal Captain Lovelock is already suspicious of them and is watching closely.

With time running short, Kip and the Cloudfarers set out on a perilous journey through storms, over steep cliffs and across mountains, with the clouds themselves as part of the route. Their goal is a safe place beyond the principal's reach, and getting there will test their courage and their loyalty to one another.
