The complete ElfQuest

Long before the wider comics world took notice, Wendy Pini and Richard Pini built ElfQuest as a fantasy saga about an elven people living close to the land. This collected edition gathers the series' early chapters, following the Wolfriders, a band of elves whose bond with wolves sets them apart from the other tribes they meet. Their journey is one of displacement and searching, as they try to find a place where they can live free and safe.

The story moves through a richly drawn world of elves, humans, and other peoples, with the Wolfriders at its center. Readers are introduced to a cast of characters whose loyalties, fears, and romances drive the plot as much as the quests and battles do. Pini's black-and-white artwork gives the saga its distinctive look.

This volume suits readers who enjoy sprawling, character-driven fantasy in comic form. It is a substantial collection, so it rewards readers who want to settle into a long, connected story.
