The Contract

Dante knows his moral compass is broken, so he lives by strict rules that stop him from killing people he shouldn't and from crossing certain lines. He is possessive, obsessive and deviant, and he enjoys a fight. When he spots Tristan working at an upscale nightclub, he sees a man whose cool detachment is a mask over anger, confusion and feelings he has never faced before. Dante wants that anger turned on him, and he wants Tristan to fight and then submit in his play room.

Tristan, for his part, is discovering he is not as straight as he believed. He can accept that, but Dante is another matter. He senses the man is dangerous even before seeing him talk with a mobster tied to the death of Tristan's brother, and Dante has already cornered him and bitten him, though they are strangers. Dante is nothing but warning signs, yet Tristan's body reacts to him as it never has to anyone else. That pull is what brings him to sit down with Dante one night after work.

What Tristan finds himself discussing is a sex contract. At first it looks ordinary: no blows to the face, no maiming. Dante insists these are hard limits and that everything outside them is fair game. He won't say what that includes, because finding out is half the fun.

The story is a dark, kink-driven male/male romance told in alternating voices by Dante and Tristan.
