Many students get to take a well-earned break when the Winter Solstice arrives, while the rest of the afterlife's residents face an unending existence. The narrator thought she had the afterlife figured out until her brother, Wes, started attending university there. She now has her own standing to protect, an ex-boyfriend who wants revenge, and strange happenings tied to Wrath's father. Above all, she has to rescue her brother. Letting herself care about the demons who stand beside her is a risky choice, and she has no option but to rely on them. She fears she may end up hurting them as well. This is the second book in a five-book series centered on queer relationships with several love interests. It ends on a cliffhanger, and the series as a whole will end happily.
