The Devil You Know

Felix Castor makes his living banishing spirits across London, where he has built a comfortable, well-paid trade. The trouble is that a job will eventually pull him up against a ghost or demon he cannot beat, and he has started looking for a way out. Still, he takes one more modest assignment at a museum in the city's darker corners, mostly because his bills are piling up. The simple exorcism soon becomes a deadly contest, with supernatural powers lining up to be the one who finishes him off. Castor can handle the dead without much trouble. The living are another matter.
