The Elders' Quest

The Elders' Quest opens a new arc in the Warriors series by Erin Hunter, the pen name of a team of writers. In it the Clans face a prophecy that warns of the destruction of the Moonpool and the end of the cats' link to StarClan.

Leafbare is near, and a new threat has appeared. Twoleg construction has pushed into Clan territory, poisoning the stream and making prey scarce for SkyClan. Their leader, Leafstar, is losing her vision while trying to hold authority over a Clan that increasingly doubts she can lead.

In ShadowClan, Tawnypelt senses that the construction endangers the Moonpool, but nobody will listen, least of all her son Tigerstar. Frustrated with younger cats who show her little respect, she decides to act on her own.

Amid the turmoil, an apprentice named Moonpaw is trying to make sense of a mysterious voice in her head. She suspects she may be having visions, but the voice grows more sinister, and she begins to wonder whether it signals darkness on the horizon.
