The Good Wizard

Badshah Bisht is a celebrated wizard, honoured by Emperor Shah Jahan himself, and the only man able to perform the perilous "Dance of the Phoenix." Then a deadly illness strikes him, and an evil magician attacks and seizes his home. The book holding the secrets of the great act is destroyed, and the knowledge now survives only in Badshah's memory.

Determined not to lose it, the old wizard goes looking for someone to pass it on to. He finds eleven-year-old Titli, a lively, energetic girl who dreams of becoming the first female magician ever. Time is running out, and she is his only hope, so he must train her before it is too late.

Can Titli become the perfect disciple? Is there a cure for the magician's illness, or will Shah Jahan lose his favourite wizard for good? And will the Good Wizard live on through little Titli?
