The Intercessors

The Intercessors: They Walk Among Us is a collection of short stories by D. L. Norris about the power of intervention. The stories are inspired by real events. Each follows a person facing adversity, whether loss, isolation, crisis, regret or despair, who is met by a timely act of compassion, guidance or a mysterious encounter that changes the course of their life. The cast ranges from a struggling writer reignited by a stranger's encouragement to a homeless man who regains his dignity through a simple breakfast. These stories show how much kindness and human connection can matter. Running through every tale is the conviction that redemption and renewal remain possible, however deep the sorrow or complicated the past. The intercessors are sometimes ordinary people doing extraordinary things and sometimes figures whose presence cannot be explained. They offer hope, second chances and unexpected ways forward. The anthology is warm and emotionally rich, and it invites readers to reflect on the interventions that have shaped their own lives and to take reassurance that healing and transformation are always within reach.
