The Jolt

Susie and Ryan are strangers who strike up a conversation on a train. Shortly afterward, a strange jolt shakes the carriage and both of them black out. When they come to, they are on the same train, but twelve months have somehow gone by.

Back home, Susie finds signs that a man has been living in her flat and sharing her bed. Ryan, equally bewildered, turns up at her door and learns that he is her live-in partner. Susie's friends and family have already welcomed him into their lives. The trouble is that neither of them remembers falling in love.

As the two grow closer, they have to ask what really happened on that train and where they spent the missing year. They also have to wonder whether the Jolt, having brought them together, could just as easily take it all away. Each decision they make uncovers a deeper mystery and unsettles what they believed about their past, their future and each other.
