The Matchmaker

Katie Collins has spent most of her life in Ennisbawn, a small Irish village of calm lakes and dense woodland, where neighbours look out for one another and the local pub is the social heart of the place. Her world is turned upside down when Callum Dempsey arrives with a property development team.

Callum's company is putting up an ugly hotel on the edge of the village and has announced it will demolish the last pub to clear a view over the golf course. For Katie, the pub is both her workplace and a link to her parents, who first met at the matchmaking festival that was once held on its grounds. After a confrontation at the building site, where she demanded the workers leave while wearing her favourite flannel pyjamas, she is laughed off the premises and decides to act.

Katie resolves to revive the matchmaking festival, save the pub, and bring Ennisbawn back to life. She also plans to find partners for her two closest friends. Taking on the infuriating, unforgettable man at the centre of the development makes the task more complicated, and her matchmaking formula may not hold up when it comes to someone she would never have picked for herself.

This is a light, funny small town romantic comedy for readers who enjoy the work of Emily Henry, Sophie Kinsella and Christina Lauren.
