The Merlin Commando

Fourteen-year-old Asha Knight had built a fairly calm life, sheltered from the growing unrest across Britain after the Closing. That ends when her mother vanishes and is presumed dead, and government agents abduct her father. Asha is sent into hiding at a bleak school that keeps secrets of its own, where she begins to uncover a concealed world she had never imagined. Determined to find out the truth, she is pulled into a dangerous operation to free a legendary hero. If the mission fails, the world will be left defenceless against a darkness that has been waiting in the shadows for fifteen centuries, hungry for revenge.
