The mountain

Paul Yoon, whose earlier novels include Once the Shore and Snow Hunters, returns with a new collection of short stories. The settings range widely, from New York's Hudson Valley to the far eastern edge of Russia. Each story is set in a different period after the Second World War, so the book moves across decades and places as it goes.
