The Odds

Kip is a quiet kid living in a loud city. She is easy to overlook, and she likes it that way. Then her peaceful routine is upended when ten of her favorite characters step out of their own worlds and into hers.

A dragon-hunting rabbit has left his comic strip. An old man has walked out of his picture book. A ninja has left her TV show, a race-car driver has left their video game, and a dinosaur from Kip's nightmares has turned up as well. Nobody knows what happens when characters leave the stories they belong to.

The Odds is the first book in a funny, warm-hearted graphic novel series by Matt Stanton about identity, imagination and working out who you are, with the message that fitting in is overrated.
