The Paris Assignment

Security expert Campbell Steele takes on a new client, Abigail McBane, the CEO of a company that is under threat. He suspects an inside job, and to find the traitor he knows he will have to stay very close to her. Abby, however, made it clear she had not hired him to act as her bodyguard.

Then an electronic blip is followed by a gunshot, and Campbell has to act fast. Though he is wary of commitment, he starts posing as Abby's lover and goes with her to a conference in Paris. The city of romance seems the ideal cover for setting a trap for the enemy.

As the danger grows, the two realize the traitor wants more than the company. The traitor wants Abby herself. Campbell is not about to lose the woman he has come to think of as his.
