The prospect

Baseball is everything to Nick Cosimo, a catcher who places his hits with precision, throws with real power, and reads the game faster than most players his age. He can study an opposing lineup and spot the hitter or pitcher who is most vulnerable. His teammates and coaches count on his judgment whenever he is on the field. Then a talent scout shows up in the bleachers, and Nick's world shifts. He has to decide whether to change how he plays so the scout notices him and he earns a spot in the draft, or to keep his focus on what is best for his team.
