The Ragwitch

Garth Nix, creator of the Old Kingdom books, offers this fantasy about the Ragwitch, a creature whose aims are cruel and destructive and whose influence spreads across the world it controls.

Paul is a mild, unhurried boy who would never have imagined himself as anyone's hope. His headstrong older sister Julia, however, has fallen under the Ragwitch's control, and Paul finds himself pulled into the creature's realm.

What starts as an unwelcome journey becomes a struggle over Julia's survival and over Paul's own.
