The split second

Dressed in tweed and pearls, yearning for the life she had missed while caring for her wealthy, domineering mother, Fiona Davison-Maclean is rich and ripe for exploitation. A salesman, worried about his thinning hair and bank account, Fergus O'Connell uses his considerable charm to secure himself a cozy future...Fiona and her money. But the couple has disappeared. Fiona's anxious aunt seeks the expertise of Lennox Kemp, who follows the nuptial trail to Scotland and finds poor Fiona drowned in the loch. The guilty finger points to Fergus...crafty, cunning, a devious and easy liar. But is he a murderer, as well?
