The Timeless One

Fort Fitzgerald has been kicked out of the Oppenheimer School, and several of his friends are stranded somewhere in time. The world has been saved, but the victory came with a heavy price. Fort, Rachel, and Jia have no time to recover, since they are about to face the Timeless One, an ancient being from the group known as the Old Ones, in a contest that will decide the fate of humanity.

The odds look grim whichever way things go. A defeat would bring the Old Ones back and doom the human race, and so would a victory. The Timeless One can foresee every possible outcome and prepare for each of them, which leaves the three friends wondering how anyone could outwit such a creature.

As they search for a way forward, the story pulls in a legendary figure: the real-life Merlin from the days of King Arthur. This fourth book in the series comes from the author of the New York Times bestseller Story Thieves.
