The Turning

Kiara Sharma's days are quiet ones. Her mother is gone, her father is a widower, her friends are loyal, and she loses herself in art. Then midnight arrives under a full moon and everything changes: she becomes a red-eyed Katrol, a kind of werewolf so rare that only two are known to be alive.

What follows takes her to Ordenia, a hidden land tucked into the forests of Mumbai. There she learns how werewolf society works and discovers memory orbs, while a conflict she can feel gathering inside herself starts to grow. It is only the first of her troubles. Her arrival draws a pack of howling enemies to her new home, and they have the power to wreck everything she cares about.

When her friends are in danger, Kiara sets out on a risky journey to rescue them, and the trip tests her to the core. She has to make a choice that feels like a coin toss with her soul at stake: let the monster within take over, or give up her own life to protect Ordenia.
