The Ultimate

The conflict between the Yeerks and the Animorphs has escalated, and the outlook is grim. Cassie, her fellow Animorphs, and Ax now face more than a fight for survival. They must also defend their families and the Hork-Bajir who have been freed from Yeerk control, and they have started to doubt that a small group can win against an enemy this strong.

That doubt forces Cassie and the team to consider whether they should grow their ranks. The memory of David, the Animorph who turned against them, is still fresh. Still, they must ask whether they have any real option left.
