This is B.S.

Taylor McFadden usually handles whatever monster comes his way without hesitation, but one thing Niki sent his direction has knocked him off balance. Niki needs to put together a team of consultants to find out whether another company is causing her trouble. The open question is whether Dr. Salinger Jacobs of Heavy Metal will return her call, and whether Niki carries enough weight to convince him once he does.

At McFadden's Mechs, a new hire has landed in an awkward spot, and nobody is willing to tell Niki what happened. The new hire, Taylor, and Niki's cousin, a computer hacker who was responsible in the first place, are all keeping quiet. Vickie has to get past her cousin's narrow focus, help the company through the problem, and push her own career change forward at the same time.

Taylor's life is full of dangerous complications, and on top of them, alien monsters keep trying to eat him. He is finished being the accommodating type.
